The new clever Forerunner 405CX comes with many serious training features and continuously records your time, distance heart rate and pace and, of course, the calories you have burned. All the data for each workout is stored in its memory for analysis and review.

To improve your training and times , try racing against Forerunner’s Virtual Partner®. You can also set up interval workouts without needing a track. You can even download recorded courses to set against previous workouts.

You can train throughout the year by using the unit inside and pairing it with an optional footpod (see accessories) . This footpod clips easily onto your laces and turns on automatically when you start to move. Or use the unit outside with a speed cadence sensor to track the speed and distance of your cycle training.

No fumbling with the buttons on this Forerunner – if you want to change screens, simply tap the touch bezel.

This new Forerunner 405CX comes with a flexible, digital heart rate monitor that continuously tracks the number of heart beats per minute and uses that information to calculate the number of calories burnt.

By simply pressing “transfer”, you can send information wirelessly on locations, advanced workouts and courses to other 405 users, so your friends can try your workout and you can compete against them.

To transfer the data to your computer, just move into range and the ANT+™ automatically transfer the data to your computer. Once you have done that, then you can share thwith Garmin’s online community, Garmin Connect You can also plan your workout on your computer and send it to your Forerunner.
